As this 1960's feminist slogan reminds us, personal experiences speak to larger structures at play in the world, and there is no action or thought that does not inherently carry political implications, just as there is no political ideology that does not have direct personal effects on individual people. This fact is vital to remember in regards to all disenfranchised groups, and must be put into practice if there is to be hope for progress.
